What We Do
BarbershopChats10 CIC delivers community-based seminars, workshops and awareness sessions designed to create safe, honest and informed conversations around some of the most challenging issues facing men today.
Our approach is calm, structured and non-judgemental. We do not provide clinical treatment or therapy. Instead, we create environments where men feel able to reflect, learn, communicate openly and access appropriate support pathways without fear of shame or judgement.
Suicide Awareness and Prevention
Men account for approximately three quarters of all registered suicides in England and Wales. Our sessions explore the warning signs of suicide, how to have supportive conversations and how to signpost individuals towards appropriate help.
Men's Mental Health
We explore the stigma surrounding men's mental health, the barriers that prevent men from seeking support, and practical ways to promote emotional resilience and wellbeing.
Loneliness and Social Isolation
Loneliness amongst men is a growing public health concern. Our sessions address the impact of social disconnection and encourage men to build healthier relationships and support networks.
Addiction and Compulsive Behaviours
We raise awareness of addiction and compulsive behaviours, including pornography addiction, and their potential impact on mental wellbeing, relationships and self-perception.
Men's Emotional Wellbeing
Many men struggle in silence with loneliness, low mood and emotional distress. Our sessions create a space where men can speak openly, reflect honestly and connect with others who understand what they are going through.
Addiction and Compulsive Behaviours
We deliver awareness sessions on addiction and compulsive behaviours, including pornography addiction, exploring how these issues can affect mental health, relationships and self-perception.
Faith, Purpose and Hope
We work across faith-based and community settings, exploring how purpose, hope and personal restoration can contribute to emotional resilience and wellbeing.
